ABOUT THE ALL SCIENCE CHALLENGE:
The All Science Challenge was developed in 2004 by Let's Talk Science outreach volunteers at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ont., and is currently being held at 7 universities across Canada this month. The competition tests students in the subject areas of biology, biochemistry, chemistry, earth and environmental science, engineering, mathematics, psychology and physics. The top teams of students will go head-to-head to win the final elimination round, which will also feature guest judges from Pfizer Canada and the British Consulate
ABOUT LET'S TALK SCIENCE:
Since 1993, science, engineering and technology students at post-secondary campuses across Canada have been teaming up with educators to ignite excitement in science in elementary and secondary students. Currently, the Let’s Talk Science Partnership Program exists at 24 universities and four colleges across Canada. The program’s dedicated volunteers deliver fun and engaging hands-on science workshops and activities to thousands of children and youth each year. The Let’s Talk Science Partnership Program at the University of Toronto consists of three sites, one at each university campus (St. George, Scarborough, and Mississauga). Each site works independently to reach students and youth within its respective communities. The All Science Challenge brings all three campuses together to ignite a passion for science in area-students.
