Spooky Science

For many, the month of October is all about spooky, fun, fall activities and if you ask any child (or adult with an inner child) they are probably already excited for Halloween and all the tricks and treats that come with it. What you might not know is that October is also a time of year that we celebrate the field of chemistry with National Chemistry Week running from October 14-21.

At our Let’s Talk Science Outreach sites, our volunteers have combined the celebration of science and the excitement of the spooky and magical with a variety to Halloween-themed STEM events. Below is a listing of some of the events taking place across the country. If you would like to learn more about events going on in your area or invite volunteers to your classroom or community group for hands-on activities, contact your local Let’s Talk Science Outreach coordinator.
