Linda Cree As she moves on to other adventures in her life, Let’s Talk Science would like to thank Linda Cree for all of her advice and input as a part of our Let’s Talk Science National Aboriginal Advisory Council. Linda was affiliated with the Council from 2009 to 2014 as a representative from the Assembly of First Nations where she worked as an Education Senior Policy Analyst. “Linda was always a very strong supporter through our Advisory Council and we truly appreciated the connections and feedback she was able to offer, particularly with reference to our recently developed Guide for Volunteers,” said Bonnie Schmidt, President of Let’s Talk Science.

Established in 2007, the Let’s Talk Science National Aboriginal Advisory Council plays an important role in guiding the successful development of Let’s Talk Science programs and initiatives to support the needs of First Nations, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) children, youth and communities. The National Aboriginal Advisory Council is comprised of a group of diverse and esteemed FNMI community representatives who offer a wide range of experiences and perspectives including: the Assembly of First Nations, Métis National Council, Inuit Tapriit Kanatami , Native Women’s Association of Canada, National Association of Friendship Centres, Ottawa Inuit Children’s Centre, CIHR Institute of Aboriginal Peoples’ Health, Canadian Aboriginal Science and Technology Society and an Elder.

Let’s Talk Science appreciates the work of all of the members of our Advisory Council and would like to wish Linda all the best with her new adventures. We know that in the future, no matter where she ends up, she will continue to inspire youth to take on all of the challenges that the future holds.
