Why do you volunteer with Let’s Talk Science? I was a participant in a similar sort of program when I was in elementary school and it really fostered my curiosity in and enjoyment of science. It was that program that first made me want to be a marine biologist. Now I’m doing my Masters in marine biology, which is pretty neat. I would love to pass that on that kind of experience on to other students.

Fun Fact: I once got to hold a live rattlesnake for a research project that I was helping out with in the Okanogan, BC. That was a thrilling moment!
