This week, the Toronto libraries are celebrating Science Literacy Week and Let's Talk Science Outreach at University of Toronto, Mississauga is taking part! Our volunteers will be set-up at the University of Toronto – Mississauga library and at the Mississauga Central Library. Visitors of all ages are welcome to drop by our tables of activities to take part in some of the fun!
Let's Talk Science Outreach at UofT, Mississauga Library
Monday, Sept 22; Wednesday, Sept 24; Friday, Sept 26
What: Volunteers will lead demonstrations and hands-on activities with students, faculty and staff. Visitors can try their hand at extracting DNA from fruit, making an electromagnetic motor from 3 basic materials, testing the pH of common household solutions, and using their smart phone to examine microscopic objects.

What: Volunteers will be taking visitors to the library through demonstrations and activities to learn more about the science in their everyday lives.
