Ways to Volunteer

Are you a post-secondary student, STEM industry professional or Let’s Talk Science alumni interested in providing enriching STEM learning experiences to Canadian youth? There are many ways you can volunteer with us, whether in person or online. The following are some examples of volunteer opportunities that we encourage you to take part in:

Our Outreach program partners volunteers with teachers and community programs to lead children and youth through exciting hands-on STEM activities in the classroom or day-long special events on post-secondary campuses.

To volunteer at a Let’s Talk Science Outreach post-secondary location nearest you go to Find Local Outreach and contact the local coordinator about volunteer opportunities. If your institution doesn’t appear on this list, contact our national Let’s Talk Science Outreach team.

As an online volunteer you can:

  • Contribute an article or career profile – Draw on your own interests and knowledge to show youth how STEM is relevant to their lives!
  • Review content – Help ensure the articles and videos published on CurioCity are up to date and accurate.
  • Other online volunteering opportunities – From moderating online chats to leading action projects, there are a number of other ways to get involved
