Science Rendezvous 2011
Let’s Talk Science will be offering exciting, hands-on science activities in a number of cities for children and their families during Science Rendezvous on Saturday, May 7. These include:
Toronto (in partnership with the Toronto Public Library)
High Park Branch: 228 Roncesvalles Ave, 2:00-3:30pm
Locke Branch, 3083 Yonge Street, 2:00-3:30pm
Toronto (in partnership with University of Toronto, Scarborough & Toronto Zoo)
Toronto Zoo, 361A Old Finch Avenue, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Markham (in partnership with York University):
Main St Markham, right in the heart of Markham Village, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Guelph (in partnership with University of Guelph):
Stone Road Mall, 435 Stone Road West, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Kingston (in partnership with Queen’s University)
Faculty of Education, Queen’s University, 10:00 am to 3:00 p.m.
Cape Breton (in partnership with Cape Breton University)
Mayflower Mall, 800 Grand Lake Road
Winnipeg (in partnership with University of Manitoba)
University of Manitoba, Fort Garry Campus, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Science Rendezvous is a free, grassroots festival that makes science accessible to thousands of people with a day of engaging, informative and interactive events. From University labs to shopping malls and public civic spaces, and farmers markets to hospitals, science champions from across the province take their passions to the people to encourage a public understanding of the great impact science and technology has on our lives and our changing world and on the importance of a science culture in a civil society.
