Learning and Leading Together – Let’s Talk Science National Outreach Conference


The annual Let’s Talk Science Outreach conference will be held in London, Ontario from May 31 to June 4, 2017. Over the four days, Let’s Talk Science Outreach Coordinators from all across Canada will gather to connect, learn, strengthen their leadership skills and celebrate their successes from the past year.

This week, we join organizations across Canada to celebrate National Volunteer Week.

Most of our Let’s Talk Science programs rely heavily on volunteers as they prepare youth for the future by engaging them online and in person in our science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs. Without our volunteers, much of our work would not be possible.

Let’s Talk Science supports post-secondary students with WIL (work-integrated learning) so they can hone the job skills they need for future success. More than 50 students have finished placements with Let’s Talk Science over the years and the organization will continue to engage students with programs including internships, co-op placements and alternative field experiences.
