Let's Talk About Skeletons!
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM CDT (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM EDT)
Have you ever wondered how archaeologists and forensic anthropologists determine how old a person was and whether he/she was a man or woman when all they have are bones?
Both bioarchaeology and forensic anthropology use concepts of skeletal growth and development to understand a little bit about the person whose bones they are looking at.
Presented by Let's Talk Science Outreach at the University of Manitoba, learn about the biological concepts professionals use when determining age at death or sex from a skeleton and practice your new-found skills with some examples!
