Science Fair Judges

Want an expert opinion on your students' prized science fair projects? Need a helping hand giving your students feedback? Educators can also request science fair judges and we will try our best to find you volunteers to help you on your school's big science event!

Rural Visits

We want all children across Canada to have access to exciting, hands-on STEM learning experiences. Bringing our volunteers to your school or community is free to you.
In the past, a diverse team of volunteers traveled to communities in northern Quebec to attend the annual Quebec Aboriginal Career Fair, where over 16 First Nations communities were represented there. We also traveled to remote communities to present science demos in classrooms, exploring topics ranging from nutrition and the human body to physics and molecular chemistry.
Future initiatives include creating a resources booklet outlining culturally relevant careers in STEM for children and school teachers living in remote First Nations, Métis, and Inuit (FNMI) communities and developing a virtual mentorship program for students living in remote communities. Through this program, we aim to reach youth in various communities without geography acting as a barrier.

Self-paced Activity Booklets

Developed by Let's Talk Science at McGill University-- Macdonald Campus, the Sonia Bujold Initiative at McGill University, and community members from the Macdonald Campus outreach team, we are offering themed activity booklets all year round!
Each booklet will contain 4-10 activities revolving around a theme. Most of these activities can be completed on an electronic device, but having a printed copy is useful as well. A list of these booklets can be found on the registration form, and this list will continue to be updated over the year!
Date and Time: Self-paced!
Location: Home!
