This year marks an important milestone as Let’s Talk Science celebrates 25 years of inspiring and empowering Canadian youth to develop the skills they need to participate and thrive in an ever-changing world. Since 1993, Let’s Talk Science has engaged over 7 million children, youth, educators, and volunteers across Canada.

Celebrating 25 Years!

From the beginning, Let’s Talk Science has sought to improve science literacy through leadership, innovative education programs, research, and advocacy. Starting in London, programs were developed and delivered in response to needs identified by teachers and community leaders. Building upon this same philosophy has provided Let’s Talk Science with the expertise to become a leader in the field.

Today, Let’s Talk Science employs over 70 staff and stretches from coast-to-coast-to-coast reaching children, youth and educators in every province and territory through a wide range of science education programs and services. In 25 years, the Let’s Talk Science Outreach program has grown to 49 partner sites at post-secondary institution in every province and reaching all the territories. Since 1993, Let’s Talk Science has supported over 143,000 educators by assisting boards with science curriculum implementation, face to face workshops, webinars and online training.

Here’s to another 25 years of helping children and youth fulfill their potential, and preparing them for their future careers and citizenship roles by supporting their learning through STEM.
