A Weeklong Celebration for National Volunteer Week

News | April 6, 2016 | Share on:

From April 10-16, the  Let’s Talk Science community will  take extra care to thank volunteers during National Volunteer Week.

At Let’s Talk Science, volunteers are the backbone to many of our initiatives. Across the country and online, our volunteers help to build strong and lasting community relationships. Our over 3,500 volunteers are engaging children and youth in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) explorations and acting as role models for youth.

Join us as we celebrate our volunteer community. Every day we will be featuring a story about one of our dedicated volunteers on our featured  volunteers page and on April 15, we will announce the finalists for the Let’s Talk Science annual volunteer awards. We are kicking off our celebration today with a special thank you video from the staff at Let’s Talk Science.

On Tuesday, April 12 connect with us on Facebook and Twitter as we celebrate Let’s Talk Science T-Shirt Day. Join volunteers in posting pictures (in a blue Let’s Talk Science volunteer tee, or not) and sharing why volunteering in STEM is important for you. Follow along on Twitter @letstalkscience and using #Tee4V.
