Let’s Talk Science is thrilled to be recognized as a finalist for two 2023 CharityVillage awards. We are a finalist for Best Nonprofit Employer - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (20+ Staff) & and Best Nonprofit Employer - Volunteer Program (20+ Staff).

The CharityVillage Virtual Conference and Awards brings together professionals within the Canadian nonprofit and charitable sectors and recognizes organizations for their mission, purpose, community and recruitment initiatives. The Best Nonprofit Employer - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (20+ Staff) award recognizes nonprofit organizations that are committed to socially responsible hiring and onboarding practices and are actively incorporating policies that encourage diversity, equity, inclusion, community outreach, and/or accessibility within their workplace. The Best Nonprofit Employer - Volunteer Program (20+ Staff) award recognizes organizations that have found ways to overcome obstacles and create or maintain a strong volunteer program.

These nominations recognize Let’s Talk Science’s commitment to excellence across the organization. From effective volunteer management to the active fostering of a diverse and inclusive professional environment, Let’s Talk Science strives to be a leader in the nonprofit sector, and these nominations are a testament to its incredible commitment to preparing youth across Canada for a rapidly changing world through STEM education.

“The children, youth and educators who access our free resources deserve to know and can feel confident that our commitment to equity is evident – internally as a national charity and externally in our resources and programs that we offer,” says Tammy Webster, the Let’s Talk Science Equity Director. “To be recognized for our commitment to equity speaks to our long-standing commitment to excellence.”

Let’s Talk Science congratulates all the other organizations nominated for their outstanding contributions and practices.
