Fall Outreach Events
School is back in full-swing, which means that students across the country are engaging in a variety of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) explorations with our Let’s Talk Science Outreach program. But let’s not stop there! Not only do our over 3,500 Outreach volunteers visit classrooms for free hands-on STEM workshops, they also take part and often host a variety of community events for children and youth.
Over the fall a variety of fun events take place for Canadians of all ages to engage in STEM. This past month we celebrated Science Literacy Week. As a national partner in the event, Let’s Talk Science Outreach volunteers across Canada highlighted STEM and science communication.
October 19-27 marks National Chemistry Week in Canada, and of course Halloween is just around the corner. Throughout the fall our Outreach volunteers take part in a collection of themed events and symposia for high school students to excite Canadians about the science going on around them every day. See the below listing for some symposia and public events taking place in your area. For more specific information about your local Outreach Program, visit our Outreach site contact page.
