Campaign Reaches $17,156,438 and Climbing

Let’s Talk Science fosters essential STEM skills to develop future workers and citizens by engaging youth in meaningful STEM-learning.  In support of that critical work, we are delighted to announce generous contributions from RBC Future Launch, Seaspan Shipyards, Alphawave Semi, and the Desjardins Foundation, in the combined amount of more than $1,295,000, bringing Let’s Talk Science’s national Inspire - Educate - Innovate Fundraising Campaign total to $17,156,438 of its bold $30 Million goal. These contributions will help ensure that Let’s Talk Science programming continues to be available in English and French at no cost for youth, educators, volunteers and families from coast to coast to coast.

Longstanding support from RBC Future Launch and Seaspan Shipyards has had a major impact in helping Let’s Talk Science provide professional development opportunities for our post-secondary Outreach volunteers and innovative and impactful programming that inspires youth to explore STEM career opportunities and develop crucial skills for future success. We are also tremendously excited to welcome Alphawave Semi and the Desjardins Foundation as new supporters whose donations help provide fun and engaging in-person and virtual STEM experiences including for youth in rural, remote and Indigenous communities.

“We cannot do our work to prepare youth for a complex future without the generosity and support of our donors,” said Dr. Bonnie Schmidt, President & Founder of Let’s Talk Science. “It’s both extremely rewarding and exciting to have an opportunity to recognize and thank long-standing partners like RBC Future Launch and Seaspan Shipyards as well as welcome new supporters Alphawave Semi and the Desjardins Foundation. Partners like these are instrumental in empowering Let’s Talk Science in our relentless pursuit to prepare youth in Canada for future careers and citizenship roles in a rapidly changing world.”

Join the movement, transform lives, and be a part of building a brighter future.
