Let’s Talk Science congratulates one of our supporters and alumni, Dr. Deborah Saucier, on her new role as president of MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta starting July 1, 2017.

Saucier, a neuroscientist, has a notable research and teaching career and was one of Let’s Talk Science’s first volunteers. Saucier’s current position is at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) in Oshawa, where she began as the dean of science and became provost and vice-president. When Saucier first joined UOIT, she and university president, Dr. Tim McTiernan introduced Let’s Talk Science Outreach to the university. The Outreach site at UOIT began in 2011 and now engages approximately 2,500 youth each year.

Let’s Talk Science thanks Deborah for her continued support and contributions to the organization. We wish her all the best in her new position!
