Let’s Talk Science President Dr. Bonnie Schmidt awarded the 2017 Purvis Memorial Award

Let’s Talk Science is pleased to announce that President and Founder, Dr. Bonnie Schmidt, is the 2017 recipient of the prestigious Purvis Memorial Award, presented by the Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC) and awarded at the annual CIC-SCI Canada Awards Dinner in Toronto, Ontario, March 30, 2017.

The Purvis Memorial Award is presented to an individual who has made “a major contribution to the development and implementation of particular and distinctive business or technical strategies. These strategies must have resulted in the strengthening of Canadian industry or academic or research in the field of chemistry.” Dr. Schmidt will receive the award in her capacity as President for Let’s Talk Science and address members of the CIC/SCI at the dinner.

John Blachford, President and owner of the company H.L. Blachford and a strong supporter of Let’s Talk Science, graciously sponsored a table at the event for Let’s Talk Science — giving Outreach coordinators and volunteers an opportunity to attend and network with industry professionals.
