On Tuesday, September 20, Let’s Talk Science staff and special guests – including Ontario Minister of Education Mitzie Hunter – recognized Dr. Mark Poznansky’s significant contribution to the organization from becoming a board director in 2003 to serving as the organization’s board chair from 2008 to 2012.

President and Founder of Let’s Talk Science, Dr. Bonnie Schmidt and current board chair Rick Dobson celebrated Dr. Poznansky’s contributions.

“Mark’s commitment, dedication, leadership and support of Let’s Talk Science has been essential in getting us to where we are today,” said Dr. Schmidt. “He has had a tremendous influence over the evolution of our organization. For that, I am very grateful.”

Demonstrating his continued support, Dr. Poznansky encouraged those in attendance to take up the challenge and be agents of change, ensuring Canadian children embrace science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

Let’s Talk Science works with champions like Dr. Poznansky, as well as educators, government, industry and partners to bring innovative learning opportunities to Canadian youth. These opportunities are essential as youth will need a wider range of skills than ever before to compete, thrive and contribute as citizens and leaders in our world.
