STEM Activities this Winter from Let’s Talk Science

Find science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) activities that are as unique as your students! This winter, you’re invited to partake in engaging STEM events for Canadians of all ages through Let’s Talk Science Outreach.

Let’s Talk Science Outreach volunteers visit classrooms across Canada for workshops at no cost and develop programming tailored to each school and its students. Whether you’re joining us from Bay Bulls, NL or Boston Bar, BC - we’ve got activities that will engage and inspire.

Let’s Talk Biodiversity

February 20, 2019 / Let’s Talk Science Outreach at York University

This event for secondary students will host a prestigious line up of environmental and biodiversity experts from York University. Hands-on workshops will include the use of DNA and biodiversity surveys as well as an ethics panel discussion and debate on climate change and the decisions involving the conservation of biodiversity.

This is a free one-day event for Grades 11 & 12 at the University of Alberta. Students will be introduced to the world of nanoscience and nanotechnology through interactions with researchers in this field.
