Tomatosphere™ Submit Results Contest – OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AS THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS FORM A CONTRACT BETWEEN YOU AND LET’S TALK SCIENCE/PARLONS SCIENCES.
By submitting an entry for the “Tomatosphere™ Submit Results 2024” Contest (the “Contest”), you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out in these Official Rules and Regulations as if you had entered into and signed a contract with Let’s Talk Science/Parlons sciences (“us”, “we”, “our”, “Contest Sponsor”). PLEASE READ THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS CAREFULLY AS THEY AFFECT YOUR RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE CONTEST.
1. ELIGIBILITY, NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
a.) This Contest is open to all Canadian residents, subject to the eligibility criteria set out in this Section 1.
b.) Prizes will only be awarded to a classroom or school, if the winner is not associated directly with a school they can opt to donate their prize to the classroom or school of their choice. Contest Sponsor will determine the eligibility of winners in this regard.
c.) Employees of Let’s Talk Science/Parlons sciences, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies and the immediate family members and persons they reside with are excluded from this contest.
d.) The Contest and these Official Rules and Regulations are VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
e.) You must follow the directions in section 2 to enter the Contest and otherwise comply with these Official Rules and Regulations and any other directions provided by the Contest Sponsor.
2. HOW TO ENTER
To enter the Contest, you must submit your Seed Germination Results for Tomatosphere™ seeds grown in the school year 2023/2024 to the online submission form between September 6th, 2023, and June 7, 2024, and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and Regulations.
Complete the results submission form at https://tomatosphere.app.letstalkscience.ca/Results/Submit (the “Results Submission form”), completing all mandatory fields. Participants are limited to one (1) entry each.
By entering the Contest, you agree, represent, and warrant to us that you have complied with these Official Rules and Regulations. To be eligible to win, you must meet all the eligibility requirements set out in section one 1 or your participation in the Contest will be denied.
3. CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest opens on February 7, 2024. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. EDT (Eastern daylight time) on June 7th, 2024.
4. WINNER SELECTION
Three (3) winners will be chosen by a random draw on the business day following the end of the contest period from the entries that have been received between the opening of the contest to the point of the draw. Winners will be notified by email following the draw and have seven (7) days to reply and accept their prize.
Your odds of winning are based on the number of contest entries received.
5. PRIZES
At the end of the contest period three (3) grand prize winners will be selected at random. Shipping fees within Canada will be covered by the Contest Sponsor. No cash equivalents are available.

- One copy of Rory’s Sustainability Adventure Book (English)/ One copy of Qu’est-ce qu’un insecte? (French)
NO SUBSTITUTION OF PRIZES IS PERMITTED EXCEPT BY CONTEST SPONSORS IN THEIR SOLE DISCRETION. THE CONTEST SPONSORS HAVE THE RIGHT TO SUBSTITUTE ANY PRIZES WITH ANOTHER PRIZE OF EQUAL OR GREATER VALUE. PRIZES ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE AND ARE NOT REDEEMABLE FOR CASH OR CREDIT.
6. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
a. Contest subject to all federal, provincial and local laws, and regulations. This contest is void where prohibited. Applicable taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the winners.
b. Entry constitutes agreement with all of the foregoing rules and terms, and also constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, contest entry and information contained therein, statements, quotes, testimonials, and photographs for promotional purposes, including but not limited to posting of such information and reproduction and display on the Contest Sponsors’ websites and social media channels, except where prohibited by law. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in the entrant’s disqualification.
c. The Contest Sponsors are not responsible for: (1) lost, stolen, illegible, torn, damaged, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries; (2) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties; and (3) any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Contest Sponsors which may cause the contest or the awarding of prizes to be disrupted or impractical of being completed. Entry constitutes agreement to hold Contest Sponsors and their affiliated entities, together with its or their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, successors, and assigns, harmless from and against any and all physical injury, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising out of this contest or acceptance or use of the prizes. The winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this promotion or use of redemption of any prize. The Contest Sponsors reserves the right to suspend and/or cancel the contest should causes beyond their control interfere with the administration, security, or proper conduct of the contest.
d. Let’s Talk Science respects your privacy and values our relationship with you. Your personal information will be protected and will never be sold. The information you have provided to enter this contest will be used only for contest administration and/or audit. If you have any questions or wish to obtain more information about our Privacy Policy, you may visit our web site at letstalkscience.ca. This contest is offered only in Canada. Ontario law will apply in the event of any disputes relating to or arising from the Contest and the Ontario courts shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes. The collection and use of personal information of the entrants by Let’s Talk Science will be subject to the Let’s Talk Science Privacy Policy. A copy of the Let’s Talk Science Privacy Policy can be obtained by writing to Let’s Talk Science at the address below or at letstalkscience.ca. Restrictions, conditions and limitations apply. BY ENTERING THIS CONTEST, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES.
The Official Rules will be posted at all times at https://letstalkscience.ca/tomatosphere-contest Entrants further agree to be bound by the decisions of the Contest Sponsors, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
7. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, the Contest Sponsors reserve the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest. Except as expressly warranted herein, the Prizes are provided to winners “as is” without further warranty of any kind. IN NO EVENT SHALL CONTEST ENTITIES BE RESPONSIBLE HEREUNDER FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES EVEN IF CONTEST ENTITIES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
