Let’s Talk Science Volunteer at the University of Waterloo

“The chance to be able to provide workshops to students from my town and being able to share my passion with them was super inspiring to me.”

Time volunteering with Let’s Talk Science: Since September 2021

Area of study: Honours Biology with a Chemistry Minor

Inspirational Moment: One of the many inspirational moments that I have experienced during my time volunteering with Let’s Talk Science was when I got the chance to volunteer and provide workshops to my childhood grade school. The chance to be able to provide workshops to students from my town and being able to share my passion with them was super inspiring to me. It was truly a blessing to be able to give back to the teachers who helped me grow my passion for science and hopefully help some students to also see how amazing science is!

Favourite Let’s Talk Science volunteering activity: Fireworks in a Jar from the Mix it Up workshop

Why do you volunteer with Let’s Talk Science? I volunteer with Let’s Talk Science because I love science! Through Let’s Talk Science, I love how I am able to share this passion with students and inspire them!

Fun fact: When I was a kid, I had two pet turtles named ‘Splash’ and ‘Bubbles’. I know very original :)
