Drew believes that cooking is an excellent way to perform science experiments at home!

Time volunteering with Let’s Talk Science: Just under a year

Area of study: Chemical Laboratory Technology

Inspirational Moment: When I volunteered at the Thames Valley District School Board and got to teach young minds about units of measurement. It was amazing to see how many questions they had once it was explained in a way that related to them. Watching them enjoy their own discoveries through their questions really inspired me to keep volunteering.

Favourite Let’s Talk Science volunteering activity: Mathday Pathway

Why do you volunteer with Let’s Talk Science? I think people need to see that science is fun and allows them to better understand how the world around them works. Science renews that inner sense of curiosity we all had as children which facilitates learning.

Fun fact: Cooking is the coolest way I know to perform experiments in your own house.
