Time volunteering with Let’s Talk Science: Since October 2017

Area of study: Bachelor of Science at UNBSJ and I’m majoring in BioPsych

Inspirational Moment: Something that amazes me every time I go do an outreach activity is how smart the kids can be and how interested they are in science. I volunteered once at a science fair for kids who are homeschooled and they had the coolest ideas for their projects, it’s awesome to see what different things they’re curious about.

Favourite Let’s Talk Science volunteering activity: One of my favourite activities to do is building a geometric dome with toothpicks and marshmallows; it’s cool to see the kids get excited when they make it all come together.

Why do you volunteer with Let’s Talk Science? I volunteer with Let’s Talk Science because it’s encouraging to see kids get excited about science; they always want to know more and to understand what’s going on.

Fun fact: I have two miniature wiener dogs!
