Let’s Talk Science Volunteer at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC)

"Let's Talk Science helps me get involved in society while contributing to my personal development and discovery of my abilities."

Time volunteering with Let’s Talk Science: This is my first year.

Area of study: Bachelor of Science in Biology

Inspirational Moment: It is very inspiring to pass on one's knowledge and especially one's curiosity and passion to young people who are gradually discovering their fields of interest. It is very inspiring to know that you are contributing to the personal development of these children.

Favourite Let’s Talk Science volunteering activity: Marine Mammals and Pelagic Birds Workshop

Why do you volunteer with Let’s Talk Science?: This organization allows me to combine both my passions together: biology and education. I also appreciate the freedom we have to create and organize content and activities related to subjects we like (not imposed subjects). Let's Talk Science helps me get involved in society while contributing to my personal development and discovery of my abilities.

Fun fact: I had to do a presentation in one of my courses, I instead shared a PowerPoint about an activity I was going to do with Let's Talk Science... I realized I was sharing the wrong slideshow only when I finished my presentation!
