Laurence loves sharing her passion for science with youth and giving back to her community.
Time volunteering with Let’s Talk Science: 2 years
Area of study: Masters in Clinical and Biomedical Sciences
Inspirational Moment: This one time that I was delivering an activity on natural disasters in an elementary school classroom with students who had handicaps/challenges. The activity genuinely helped the students better understand a subject that would have otherwise been difficult for them: sciences. I truly believe that the interactive and hands-on activities helped them to understand and apply the material.
Favourite Let’s Talk Science volunteering activity: The science activities done in partnership with the municipal libraries in Saguenay.
Why do you volunteer with Let’s Talk Science? I volunteer because it allows me to give back to my community in a way that I love. Having the chance to share my passion for science with youth is an excellent way to give back!
Fun fact: I love everything related to stationery! I have an incredible number of pencils and stickers, and I even have a paper planner for 2022!
