Let’s Talk Science Volunteer at York University

“I volunteer with Let’s Talk Science because I’m really passionate about science and want to spread this passion to our current youth.”

Time volunteering with Let’s Talk Science: 2 years

Area of study: Biology

Inspirational Moment: I can’t think of one inspirational moment I’ve had volunteering with Let’s Talk Science. I think I’m always inspired in moments during a workshop when I get to see the kids having fun with their experiments or becoming genuinely astonished with something new they learned. As an educator to them, that fills me with so much joy.

Why do you volunteer with Let’s Talk Science? I volunteer with Let’s Talk Science because I’m really passionate about science and want to spread this passion to our current youth. I love working with kids, and love having this opportunity at Let’s Talk Science to get more kids interested in STEM.

Fun fact: I’m currently studying Biology and am in the Concurrent Education program at York University to become a science teacher one day!
