Join Lexie and Lenny to read J. Jean Robertson's book, "Charlie's Harmonica" and complete a hands-on science activity about sound!
In this activity students will explore different characteristics of sound. Students will then create their very own popsicle harmonica using everyday household objects.
For this activity, students will need:
- 2 popsicle sticks
- 2 small rubber bands
- 1 large, thick rubber band (alternative: paper)
- 1 toothpick (alternative: straw, paper/cardstock)
- pencil
- scissors
This activity is targeted at students in Grades 1 to 3. Younger students may still enjoy the activity and book but may require more adult help and support.
