What's That Smell? Holiday Scent Guessing Game
This activity from the Feast for the Senses Lending Library kit is great for community booths. The attached discovery card is Christmas/holiday themed. Participants try to guess the smell of various bottles.
How well does your Boat Float?
Buoyancy is the upward force that the water is exerting on the object that is floating. It is what is keeping the object from sinking! In this activity, we will learn about buoyancy through creating our own boats.

Students are given an unlabeled picture of a night sky and asked to find the constellations in it.
Animal Adaptations
Students have the opportunity explore different ways that animals insulate themselves to stay warm in winter by testing different insulating materials in ice cold water (e.g., fur, cotton balls, foil, thermal sock, etc.).

Students explore the science of sound by creating their own "Walkman" which transmits vibrations through a piece of string.
