Learn About My Career
I work with organizations to help them better understand their customers and users of their products, so we can improve that experience for them.
I was born/grew up in: Tabora, Tanzania
I now live in: Montreal, Quebec
I completed my training/education at: BFA, Graphic and Industrial design, Concordia University
I am a bilingual researcher who works with organizations to help them get a better understanding of their customers and users. I spend a lot of time communicating with my colleagues or team. The core of my work revolves around writing research plans, recruiting participants and meeting with the team. There are also interview sessions, collecting and analyzing data and sharing with the team. My background is in design, but I work in technology with developers. I use problem-solving, communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
It all started when I was young. I had a passion for arts, crafts, and architecture. In college, I was interested in psychology and wanted to pursue that. However, I knew my creative side was quite dominant. I ended up choosing to study graphic and industrial design. I worked in several design agencies. I got into researching user experience through an internship in university. It opened so many doors for me. I also helped me to get the clients and gain the experience I have today.
I am motivated by the social impact a company, or an organization, has and how I can contribute to that mission with my creative and problem-solving skills.
What I do affects lives because it shapes our digital experiences on mobile and desktop applications. I've worked with small creatives companies, digital health companies, as well as provincial and the federal governments. My work probably impacts millions of people.
I enjoy parks and spending time with friends and family. I enjoy taking walks and hikes.
Network as much as possible. Attend conferences and work on projects you are passionate about.
