About me

I was born/grew up in: I was born and grew up in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

I now live in: I currently live in Burnaby (Great Vancouver area), British Columbia.

I completed my training/education at: I did a Bachelor's in Electronics and Communication Engineering at Osmania University. Later I did a Master's in Computer Networks from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson).

What I do at work

I test security products that we create Fortinet. This includes things like Firewall, Anti-Virus agents and many others. These tools are used to protect computing devices and their users from cyberattacks and computer viruses. I make sure the tools we create can do what they are supposed to do.

To do my work, I work with the latest technologies and do a lot of research. I test the products under different situations. I collaborate with other teams to discuss solutions for problems and new features related to Network and Security. I research various technologies to enhance security and user experience. My background in STEM is very helpful in understanding various complexities of technology and how they can be integrated in our daily lives.

I am a member of the Product Security team. I work with my teammates to solve issues. We also discuss new feature additions to improve how our products work.  "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." We mainly engage over chat software. We meet in-person too whenever it's possible. Our company abides by the Policy of using English as a language for any official interactions.

In today's world, humans are surrounded by computers and smart devices. These are tools that help them achieve their short- and long-term goals.  We all have a lot of important information on our devices. This information needs to be protected. Our team's goal is to provide products which help in securing personal data and prevent identity or data theft. It also protects people from scams or fraud which are very common today.

Outside of work I

I am a big soccer fan and love playing soccer. I also hit the gym to make sure I am in good health and shape. We have a lot of clubs with different activities at my workplace. Performing various activities apart from work helps me to relax and get re-energized.
