Learn About My Career
I manage sales of laboratory products for part of Quebec and the Ottawa region.
I was born/grew up in: I was born in Montreal, Quebec.
I now live in: I currently live in Mirabel, Quebec.
I completed my training/education at: I have a college diploma in medical laboratory techniques.
I give advice to customers who use our different quality controls and laboratory products, so that they can find the product best suited to their use. To do this, it's important to have a good understanding of the realities in the laboratory. My background helps me to guide them better. To this end, our company has a large database in several disciplines, and works with professionals in each field.
When I'm at work, I communicate with customers in French and English, depending on their language preference. I also communicate with my colleagues in both languages, as I also work for an organization based in California.
When I was in high school, I hadn't yet discovered my passion for science. So, when I finished school, I enrolled in a pre-university humanities program at CEGEP. In fact, my goal was to go on to study law at university. However, during my first semester, I got very good marks in biology! After a discussion with my biology teacher, I decided to change my study program.
I love meeting and helping laboratory professionals. I also travel and move around a lot, since I don't have a fixed workplace. It's a lot of fun!
I love building relationships with the professionals I work with. They know they can count on me when they need me.
I like traveling, sports and cooking.
You've got to go for it! That's the only way you'll know if a field is right for you!
